March 2, 2024: At 11:00am, Sandra will be reading The Giant Hug for Grandmother’s Day at the Barnes & Noble, Glastonbury, CT. Book signing to follow.

September 28th, 2023 – Sandra visited the 3rd grade at the Wolfpit School in Norwalk!
April 20th, 2023 – Sandra attended Learning Night at Jack Jackter Intermediate School
in Colchester, CT.
February 10th, 2022 – Sandra visited Scotland Elementary School in person!
Saturday, August 7th, 12-5pm – Join Sandra and 30 CT authors at the outdoor event Books on Pratt in Hartford, CT. There will be music and poetry readings throughout the day. Take a stroll down Pratt Street to check it out!

Friday, September 28th, Books on Pratt! – Hartford.com and Barnes & Noble UConn Hartford Bookstore welcomed 50 local authors, including Sandra, to Pratt Street for the last lunch time street closing of the season.

On August 15, Sandra visited Cossitt Public Library in North Granby, CT for evening storytime. She brought along her new chick, Ducky, who was hatched by Mama Duck!
On June 1o, Sandra read at the Fletcher Memorial Library in Hampton, CT.
On November 19, Sandra and other local authors were at Jack and Allie’s Children’s Bookstore in Vernon, CT to support the cause of literacy! Sponsored by the Rockville Rotary Club.
On October 29, Sandra participated in the panel “Publishing Children’s Books: Connect!,” a discussion featuring Pegi Deitz Shea, Selene Castrovilla, Bill Thomson, and Sandra at Arts Center East in Vernon, CT. Read Gail Gauthier’s blog post about the event.

On November 13, Sandra was on a panel “Writing and Publishing Children’s and Young Adult Literature” for the University of Connecticut’s Creative Writing Program. She was joined by authors Caragh O’Brien, Dana Meachen Rau, and Pegi Deitz Shea, as well as Alexander Slater, an agent for Trident Media.
